Pikey scum on "no V5, no keys" gumtree specials. Half that estate will know exactly who they are.

Which one's the toddler? The girl on the left or right?

Ah, welcome to modern Britain.

Why was she crossing the road with three motorcycles approaching?

I'm sure I should shut my mouth and stop casting aspersions - but either the child crossed the road into the path of the bikes with the mum trailing behind, or the .. er, mum, crossed the road with her daughter hand in hand, either way, the "parent" didn't seem to be "parenting" because roads are dangerous, there's three bikes, try not to walk into the road when they're approaching. ... eh. You might end up "on the mudguard".

My question is, basically, what was the mum doing - I know my mum never walked me into a busy road. But maybe the bikers were doing silly speeds, who knows.

It's a fair point but regardless of the situation if you kit a pedestrian the correct thing to do is stop. Doubly so when it's a toddler.

Let's fac it even if the mum was at fault, stopping and calling an ambulance could save the kids life.

If the mother was being negligent it's not the childs fault it was born to her. They should have stopped.

Do you have any doubt, reasonable or otherwise, that one of them failed to stop after smashing up a toddler?

Regardless of whether she should have been on the road or not, you hit someone, you stop. You just do.

I wanted to see if any follow-up to the story. Did a google on "Rotherham child biker accident" and found another accident in April. So a 'common' occurrence?

The Star wrote:
Rotherham boy, 8, knocked down by biker who fled.

An eight-year-old boy was left fighting for life after being knocked down by a biker in a South Yorkshire hit-and-run.

The rider of the moped initially stopped after the crash - but disappeared before emergency services arrived.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “A grey Peugeot Speedfight motorcycle was travelling along Arundel Avenue, Treeton, in the direction of Arundel Road, when it reportedly struck an eight-year-old boy.

No wonder bikers are getting a bad name with all these motorcycles scooters going around running people down. Talk about calling a spade a shovel Rolling Eyes

Shoddy reporting and/or shoddy police spokesperson.

I don`t know what happened I was not there...all I have heard is reports from other sources... I wish to hear from the accuser, the accused, and the legal teams and if as when and how they are convicted or not...
anyone can be arrested and accused... a conviction is another matter... I await their day in court.. the police can do their work in the mean time.

This, right here, is why the per capita legal aid budget in England and Wales is among the highest in the world.

Courts out, clean cut case of hit and run so lets cut their balls off and be done with it, in the meantime you can go cry on the shoulders of the bleeding hearts an artists or just have a plain good old fashioned girly moment to yourself. I will be damned if any of my money goes towards defending these bastards when a good kicking is for free.
