Will ride to the co-op in trainers, jeans, bike jacket, gloves and helmet. But the co-op is at the bottom of my road, I'd go faster down there on a push-bike with no protective gear at all!

If I'm going to the local bike garage and having to leave my bike there, then walk back, I tend to wear the same as above, but the garage is only 5 minutes away and all sub 30mph.

Same applies for blockbusters only I'll wear my boots there...

Around town and slow rideouts I wear all protective gear, but no leather trousers, I wear a cordura set over my jeans. Good protection but obviuously not as good as leather.

Anywhere else, weekend rideouts or anything fast I'll always wear leather trousers though!

Depends how you mean protection, I can't afford full leathers, but I have leather trousers and a waterproof bike jacket, that I always wear.

Well I will always wear a Jacket and Motorcycle Boots but sometimes its just to damned hot to wear leather jeans or the fact I can't be arsed wearing them under my waterproofs if its raining.

But no, I wouldn't ride without atleast some protection.

And people who ride in trainers and trackies are just stupid IMO (no offence to anyone, its just my opinion).

It hurts just as much when you hit the road on a short trip as it does on a long one! Confused

Full gear all the time. Well I skip on the back protector most of the time unless I'm going out to play around. It's generally uncomfortable and makes lifesavers difficult.

I always wear full textile suit, and helmet/gloves, and a pair of sturdy boots.
And soon I will get full leathers/proper boots.
As I have had to take my knee pads out of my textile trousers, as they cripple me and I can't ride with them in Confused

Although lately, I have skimped on the trousers, just worn jeans.
If I had leathers, I'd wear them no problem :<

When I was young(er) and stupid(er), I used to ride my RS125 in a waterproof jacket and trousers designed for a push bike. Looked vaguely like I'd made the effort but really offered little or no protection. Thankfully I never put them to the test.

My excuse was I'd spent all my money on the bike and couldn't afford leathers. But really I was just very stupid.

My Dad came off his triumph 500 when he was 17, just wearing jeans, It's an old joke but he can't tell is arse from his elbow, there are so many grafts between. I bought good leathers before I got a bike.

Hi

I use gloves 100% of the time and boots 99% of the time. I use a textile jacket almost always and textile trousers most of the time.

All the best

I only just got full leathers so I'm used to biking in a leather jacket and jeans. However I went on a short trip in my jeans as usual and felt very vulnerable suddenly! So I guess it's leathers all the time now...

Lol, i ride a gpr50 at the moment. I ride in helmet, boots (can't shift in trainers it feels weird, probably best) gloves with kevlar knuckles, usually a proper bike jacket (dunno the material, but its a proper jacket not just a coat) and jeans, However since i went out in my 1 piece Frank Thomas leathers i feel really vulnerable in anything else so i just use the 1 piece now.

I don't care if i look/feel stupid coz at the end of the day

a) i'll be pre-wrapped if i die
b) might NOT die
c) gets me into good habits
d) look the nuts when i'm walking round town

But the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages in my opinion.
I fell of in the jacket, jeans and boots combo (on my scooter)

(reconstruction image at this address) https://www.bikepics.com/pictures/133132/

and i was completely unscathed but i though i'd better not push my luck again so i got myself a 1 piece.

Paul
( i made the image on paint and its really cool so take a look)

Almost always wear protective clothing. The exception is when I go to one of my buildings 500m down the road.

Just seen some mentalist go past on a scooter with shorts and a tee shirt, besides the blatant disregard for skin, its really not that warm here.

Generally I always used at least my Sidi's, gloves, and my armoured jacket and normally I wear textile trousers as well. Now I've got my new leathers when I'm back on the road I'll be using them as much as possible as I might as well give myself the best chance should something happen.

Yup, we all know that too well Laughing as can be told by your avatar (although I wonder if the people passing in the car when that was happening have recovered yet or if anyone has believed them as to what they claimed to have seen Laughing Laughing )
