Nice, 03 though so get the oil filler cap o ring changed to a later model one. Unless you like emulsified oil.

should have paid about a grand for that, maybe 900 given the miles but fair play, got one of the best 4 stroke 125s IMHO.

I would suggest getting someone else to fix that. There are 2 seals, dust seal is what you can see, oil seal is within the fork, under the seal you can see.

FYI I would replace both or at least empty fluid from both and refill. 350ml per leg of fork oil, I used 10w.

1250 is a little overpriced but good enough I suppose. Do regular oil changes and it will last.

How much will a garage charge to change both seals?

1250 includes three month warranty it was from a garage.

The fuck does the warranty cover if it was sold with a known problem?

Garage should have done the fork seal before selling to you.

£100 or there abouts.

Let the bodging commence!!!! I feel so sorry for the dealer you bought this from. The next three months are going to be very painful for him.

You shouldn't be allowed anything more complicated than wax crayons and paper let alone a motorbike.

He's only gone and bought a sensible bike. Shocked

Why is the seal leaking? Is there any pitting on the fork? If so, you'll need to sort that out and then likely replace the seal.

However, if the fork is smooth, then try the "Seal Mate" solution. By which I mean cut a thin piece of stiff plastic our of whatever's handy (I just used a bottle of Irn Bru) and wiggle it down there. I've had that work fine twice now.

I may be wrong, but it looks like it wasn't put there by Mr. Honda....

My bet is that it is for your heated grips. I'm pretty sure I can see some fitted in your photo's of the bike.

edit: or possibly for the 12v Power Supply you mention under the seat?!
