Need help, I know very very little about mechanics and tyres etc... Anyway to the point, I have a 1999 Suzuki bandit 600, The tyres are both Bridgestone, on the front the numbers are 110/70ZR17, I need a new front tyre (I think) There is a definate worn part, can tell by touch only not sight. I'm looking to get a new front just a ease my mind, online these seem to be around the £80 mark Is that right? And how much would I expect to pay to get it fitted? Also (sorry to keep firing questions) but is this a good tyre, or should i look at something else? The Isle of Wight roads are nearly all country roads and I only road ride, so looking for grip really rather than a race tyre, thanks chaps! |

Hi
That seems quite expensive for a single front tyre.
Not sure for the Bandit but as an example we just fitted a pair of tyres to the Diversion which worked out at £135 for the tyres. Fitting was an extra £5 a tyre to loose wheels or £10 a tyre to the bike.
For the sizes of tyres, a 110/70 ZR17 is:-
110mm wide
70% of the width high (so in this case 70% of 110mm)
ZR means it is a radial tyre with a high speed rating.
17 is the size of wheel it fits in inches.
All the best
