I'm thinking of buying this kit:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motamec-Tools-M6-x-1mm-Thread-Repair-Recoil-Re-thread-helicoil-insert-Kit-25pc-/290879594107?pt=UK_Hand_Tools_Equipment&hash=item43b9c65e7b

Just wondering if anyone has heard of motamec tools and if they are any good? Or would it be better to invest in a more solid maker such as Recoil or Helicoil? Or will anyone do and it's more a question of the coil quality itself?

Is it a critical bolt?

If so, I'd stick with a more well known brand, since it's only M6x1.00 I'm taking a guess it's for a cover, if so, the cheaper options should be ok.

I had to use a company called V-Coil, as I needed M7x1.00 and Helicoil don't do this size, but would recommend V-Coil as seemed very good quality, however, they are priced at the same level as helicoil.

Thanks, yea V-Coil are good.

I went with Recoil also a good company but only because I got a bargain. I would have gone with V-Coil also.
