I am expecting one or two items to be delivered including some engine sprockets. Posty put a note through the door saying item would not fit through letter box so I went to pick it up.......

Next time, phone and ask who the sender is before you trawl out to the depot. I've been to collect junk mail before, ffs.

At least you got a 16Gb data stick out of it.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

My regular Royal mail postman, loves leaving those stupid notes. Other private firms usually leave the parcel under my bike cover / behind the shed / with neighbour - and pops a note through your door.

That's because your royal-mail postman doesn't actually have your parcel with him. It's an age-old criminal royal-fail scam.

A few years ago a large box (about 1m square x 3/4m deep) arrived at work addressed to me. It contained a load of airbag packaging and a smaller box which in turn contained a shedload of bubble wrap and in the middle of it all, an anti static bag with a memory module for a server.
