 Posted: 22:06 - 03 Aug 2013 Post subject: Sync Files w/ Dropbox? |
 |
|
Hi chaps,
I currently use DropBox to store my uni notes, assignments etc. This is good.
I work on the files from DropBox, and save them to DropBox, so I do not have a copy of my work saved on the laptop. This is not so good.
However, I don't want to be arsing about copying the stuff between dropbox and comp, so is there a way of syncing it between Dropbox and my computer, or even a memory stick?
Using Win8 BTW.
Thanks. |

Not to a memory stick, as far as I'm aware. |

But do I have to copy the new files to memory stick every time I amend them?
That is what I can't be arsed doing, there must be a way to automatically sync it, surely? |

You can use selective sync also. I have folders saved locally to the dropbox folder on my phone, I used to have a superset of those folders on my netbook dropbox folder until it died, and a set of work-related folders on my work computer dropbox folder, and they all automagically backed up to the dropbox on the net and to the relevent local machines. You get the occasional conflicted copy if you've changed the same file on two machines before it's managed to sync. ____________________ Licence: Nov 2012, Bikes: Suzuki GN125, Moto Guzzi Strada 750, Triumph Sprint ST 955i x 2
