Have just bought a 2001 Honda XLR 125R, and have only managed to get about 60-65mph out of it. I know it will be sluggish as it is a 4/, but i believe that it will still be restricted. Does anyone have any info on what restrictions it has, and how to remove them?

Many thanks

Wise

i think 65 is about your lot unfortunately, its unusual to restrict a 125 4 stroke single as they just dont make very much power

Hi

Not really any easy way to get more power out of it as it is not restricted. Few things you could to to tune it (such as boring the engine out) but nothing really easy.

All the best

Keith

As Keith said, it is the same engine as the City Fly, you're not going to get much out of it i'm afraid. Thumbs Up

to be honest i think you will not get a true 65mph out of a xlr...indicated maybe?
its like the cbr125...they are built for that spped..maybe a sports exhaust, k&n and a bit of jetting may do something..but i doubt it..if you want speed get a stroker...if yuo want reliability and a nice bike keep the xlr...we service one of them and work on it regualy...lovely bike and i will hopefully buy it one day... Very Happy
