Hi peeps.

I got this problem you see. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

R6 2003. Fitted motrax arrow indicators front and back. Work a treat but when I press the hazard switch I get one flash then nothing. No fuse blown. Couple of seconds later it will let me do the same again. Shocked

The only other electrical item I have fitted is a Datatool System 3.

Any clues because at the mo I am clueless. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Regards

Andy

I don't know whether these motrax indicators use the original bulbs.

If not, when you put the hazards on all four should flash which may suggest the total load on the flasher unit is too much but it can cope with two at a time (right or left).

Just a guess.

I remember from fitting the new indicators to my NSR, your indicator relay will have certain wattages printed on its side.

One wattage is the wattage per pair (side) of bulbs, and the second is the wattage per set (all of) bulbs.

In my case, I run 23 watt indicators, 2 a side, so i want a 12 volt 46 watt relay.

If you have 23 watt indicators, two on each side, you are going to want a 12 volt 46 watt 92 watt relay - if you get me. My advice would be to check the numbers on your relay.

All relays designed for indicators that can be used as hazard warning lights are three-pin relays, afaik.
Bikes that have no Hazard Warning function are two pin.

Hope that helps mate.

Great info guys.

I was thinking along the same lines but thought I would ask before checking wattage loads on the relay.

Thanks

Andy
