I'm making enquiries into buying a 125 Derbi Terra. The seller says the bike has done 3000 miles, has been kept in a garage but that the chain and front wheel need replacing. Does this sound feasible?

By feasable do you mean as a good idea to buy it, or something you could replace yourself.

I would of thought 3000 miles isn't much at all for most chains, maybe would imply its been poorly maintained / thrashed perhaps Question

I'd be wondering why the shit the front wheel needs replacing after 3000 miles? and yeah chains can do way more than that also, sounds like it's been sent into the back of a 4x4

Yeah, that's what I mean - doesn't sound like a lot of life for a chain! I wonder how else the bike has been neglected. Think i'll look elsewhere.

Thanks.

Hang fire. Ask the seller, and then if they're in any way credible, go and look at it.

You're not buying a story, you're buying a bike.
