I have a long lists of favourites and program files and want a faster response time.

CCleaner for software
Hardware upgrade will make most difference though.

It's the drop-down lists I want faster. My PC is still too fast for the programs it already runs.

Open your list of favourites and press the first letter of the title on your keyboard multiple times until it highlights the one you want.

For example, press B for Bike Chat Forums. If it highlights the wrong link, keep pressing B.

change the mouse wheel scroll settings

use a third party launcher like rocketdock/stardock to better organise programs/bookmarks. Fences by startdock can help you organise desktop shortcuts better
