Its a damn sight more expensive than soapy water and wet wipes which do an equally good job, IMO. Thumbs Up

Nope. Their chain cleaner stuff's worth its weight in gold though.

+1 for castrol greentec

Have used it weekly since having the bike (8 months) and still got loads left!

Gets all of the stubborn stains off.

Muc off polish is excellent tho

i bought some, used it and it was no better than just clean water/fairy liquid.

i would second the chain cleaner though.

nice one Smile when my muc off runs out i will give it a go Smile

i dont think muc off is necessarily bad but it is dear... when i am washing my bike i still need a bucket and sponge to remove the bits the spray misses .. not to mention the pressure hose.. i wont buy it again unless it its alot cheaper than what it is already priced at.

i will definitely give the chain cleaner a go. the one i have now is useless. Evil or Very Mad

Don't use washing up liquid, it really is not good for paint work and alloy.

You are better getting a big bottle of car shampoo from Asda/aldi/tescos.

Chain cleaner +1

Also the Muc Off 'Speed Polish' I can't get enough off, it's honestly so so good!

Thumbs Up

5 Litres of Muc Off is £25 at my local garage but they are doing a deal if you buy 5 litres you get another 5 litres for an extra £1 Mr. Green

Still not something I'd bother buying... I'll stick with soapy water Very Happy

Buy the big bottles off the internet and muc off isn't too bad. Best stuff I've used was one of the SDOC sprays but that stuff was even more shockingly expensive Shocked

I just use a cheap car wash/wax from my local tat emporium, £1.25 a pint, can't see the point in paying any more. No disrespect to muck-off though, their aerosol products are all good stuff.

I use it as it's the only one my local bike shop has and it's only in the next road. I don't think it works as good as their blurb says though but, it's still quite good.

Their miracle shine polish does give excellent results though.

I use muc off and find it works fine. Even took the engrained brake dust off my alloys. Bought one got one free on the bay. Very Happy

I like the muc off stuff, better than the car stuff. Tried castrol and was put off by the 5 min wash off warning on the back.

Better off using motorcycle shampoos really. A lot of car products are mixed with things that are okay for car bodywork but dont do bike parts any favours Thumbs Down

So twice as expensive per litre than petrol.....

Think I will stick to riding rather than washing Laughing

If you really must then get to a £1 shop Thumbs Up

I use a 25L drum of TFR.

Nothing comes close when coupled with a jetwash.

Most washing up liquids contain bleaching agents.

From experience it's a total waste of money. Better off buying some GT-85.

I like it as a general purpose cleaner. I think the speed polish is utter shit though, it says to spray on and then wait until it hazes to buff off...but it never seems to haze.
