and making it road legal having googled extensively and read various threads including clicky

i am still majorly confused as far as i can tell it is possible? is it? if so is it almost as simple as when u buy a chinesse crate bike like in the following thread?

Get customs import docs, certificate of newness and Euro 3 waffle.

Insure it against the VIN number - better hope they give you the right one, and that it matches with the docs.

Take or post all that to a DVLA office and pay £55 first registration fee plus £17 VED.

Wait for it to be signed in triplicate, sent in, sent back, queried, lost, found, subjected to public inquiry, lost again, and finally buried in soft peat for three months and recycled as firelighters.

If the DVLA don't randomly select it to be brought in to the nearest VOSA test centre for an inspection (the logistics of that are an exercise for the reader) then eventually you'll receive (separately) your VED disk and a temporary vehicle registration mark document - mine was hand written in barely legible scrawl. The V5C will turn up later.

Anybody ever done this? after doing it purely for the fun so doesn't matter that the bike is chinesse or rubbish etc.....

You'd honestly have to be mad to buy a pitbike from that site..

Coming from somebody that likes small bikes, and indeed owns a pitbike in supermoto form, I honestly don't know why you'd bother.

Just buy a monkey bike if that's what you're after.

Ask Paddy (and anyone else who attended the BCF BBQ last weekend) about Monkey Bikes Laughing

Or go for an already road legal bike? Probably be cheaper overall and hopefully get a slightly better bike!
