Hi there, I have an 07 YBR 125 with a Leo vince exhaust (garage fitted due to fuel injections, I know how to play with carbs but not fuel injection!).

Basically, problems started around 4 months ago. Somebody reversed out of their drive and accidentally knocked the bike over. The guy was genuine and apologetic, and as far as I noticed no damage was done so I said don't worry about it. (Stupid I know, but everything was fine at the time!)

The bike had lay on it's side for a while, as the guy didn't realise he'd done it till he got back and saw scuffs on his boot, then put two and two together. It had leaked pretty much a full tank of fuel.

After filling up and riding, it was VERY sluggish. I assumed crap had got into the fuel lines or something but before I actually got chance to check all the lines it seemed to clear and ran fine.

Recently I rode it from Derby where I live to Brighton. A good 6-7 hour trip due to taking A-roads (I've only done my theory) however id done it before, and enjoyed the long rides.

I noticed on the return trip, whenever I stopped either for a break or a fill up, the bike took a while to run correctly. Struggling to hit even 40!

I plan to replace the air filter, I've also brought some fuel injection cleaner, is there anything else I can do? I checked the lines and I can't see any form of fuel filter or stop cock. I also plan to change the oil. I couldn't locate the oil filter either, I read online it was a non-replaceable mesh in the engine casing? I'm not sure how factual that is but either way I don't like splitting the seals, I hate dealing with gaskets.

Secondly, I have an electrical problem. There is a MESS of bodged wires in the headlamp (one of those things you don't see when you buy!). Some come from the ignition, but a few are for the light itself.

It's been fitted with a non-ybr ignition barrel (possible theft?) so wires have been modified. The lights and things work ok ish, the front flickers. I tried wiggling the rats nest of wires, there was no flickering, but when running it does and also when I push the light back into the housing when it's all undone occasionally the light flickers then too.

I could do with fixing that as its due an MOT.

Sorry for the long post! Wanted to provide as much info as possible!

It's quite possible if the bike fell over onto the kick starter side that engine oil has run along the breather pipe into the air box contaminating the air filter with oil.
This would cause sluggish running as the blocked filter would create a very rich air/fuel mixture.
If this has occurred, it's imperative that you check your engine oil level ASAP.

The YBR does not have a replaceable mesh or paper oil filter, it filters it centrifugally.

Short of wiggling and examining all the wiring connections, the only electrical advice I can offer is 'Do not climb pylons'.

It had fallen on the gear shifting side, so the opposite side to which I drain my oil from.
Could it have been possible that I may have lost oil somewhere in my bike that hasn't leaked and my piston has scored from lack of oil causing lack of compression?

I'm doing a full oil change before putting it back on the road anyway

I've not found a good solution to cleaning out injectors.
Not been impressed by injection cleaner.

Definitely check the air filter anyway.
And the oil level.

Wouldn't get too worried by a scored piston for the moment.

Ideally you'd get hold of another known-good throttle body and try that.

I took the seat off today and noticed a lot of dirt in the air intake, not enough to cause a problem I wouldn't think but enough to remove the air box for a clean.

Think that's my next port of call!
