Seriously, though...
I've previously used an Oxford 38L (can be collapsed / expanded) magnetic tank bag for a three week European adventure and it did the job on a semi-modest budget. The build quality seemed to be adequate, the zips were robust, it has a clear pocket on top for slotting in a Michelin paper navigation document and it had a floppy waterproof cover included which works, even if it does fit as flatteringly as your granny's shower cap.
It stayed in place and was very easy to attach / remove with a clip that was secured around the headstock.
Downsides were that it was a pain in the cock to reach the filler cap if it was properly laden and I picked up a few scratches on my tank with getting dirt on to the fit surface.
I currently have a Kriega US 10, 20 and 30, all of which can be adapted to a tank bag with the tank harness which retails for about 20 monies.
I've used the US10 on a weekend away recently (approximately 300 miles) and it was rock solid. The kit is immensely waterproof (it rained a lot on Mull) and the locking system that attaches it to the tank harness is good. I believe the US20 and 30 work just as well. Downsides? No clear pocket on the top to fit a map or directions in to, otherwise I'd recommend.
You pay for Kriega but it's good stuff and, as is always said about the kit, you'll only buy once. ____________________ CG125, CBF250, DRZ400-SM, Z750, Street Triple R, Tuono V4R |

I use this Oxford one sometimes (sounds like the same one Derillius mentioned). Good quality, converts to a backpack and can expand big enough to fit a helmet+other stuff. Its not waterproof but comes with a shower-cap cover (stored in the detachable bumbag on the back of it).
But yeah; get a Kriega. /thread |
