Hi All
New to the forum.

I am converting my R6 into a road going track motorcycle on day MOT.
Can any of you guys recommend a suitable wiring harness or the best way to tidy up. I am running PC5 with auto tune so am I correct in thinking a lot of the OEM wiring is obsolete.

Do I require a fully operation rear light or can I run with just a reflector and horn?

Thanks.

Stick some cable ties around it?
Don't see the point in spending the time and money on that sort of thing when it could be spent at a track day, riding the bike?

You can just for a reflector as far as I know, but personally I'd keep the rear light. Brake lights are pretty useful on a road shared with vehicles that can weigh 200x as much as yours!

Daytime mot is just horn, number plate and Speedo. No reflector required.

if you have any light at all, you'll need all of them.

I have other motorcycles on road and going on last years weather the R6 will be in the garage soon enough. I wanted a project over winter so decided to spend some money on my R6.

I know I don't need all this performance on public roads, just my hobby. I ride at the speed limits, I prefer slow speed cornering...must be getting old Very Happy

Yeah I had registered a mx motorcycle some years back and it had no clocks but was told I required a rear brake light, which tbh I wanted anyway (as you point out G).

I was under the impression a brake light was still required on a daytime test. This year I was too skint to put my CG right before MOT so I took all lights off and set up the brake light and horn. I was then failed at the MOT for having a brake light - as Paddy has said; you have one light you have to have them all! Naturally I got the electrical tape out and taped my rear light up and got it passed.
