Just wondered f anyone has used ebike insurance and have had problems in contacting them.
I've had insurance with them in the past and have always had a problem if i needed to contact them. Because of this i didn't want to use them again but couldn't find any classic policy on the net that would quote me for my old 1971 Honda CB100 so had to use them.

The joy of them is that you don't need to contact them, its done by you online, saves insurance potato from messing up.

I use them for 4 bikes currently as they offer a respectable multi-bike insurance policy.

Yes it's a 'joy' if it all goes well. Unfortunately it hasn't. They wanted a copy of my insurance which i emailed them. They replied to say that it had been received then a day later one threatening that i will incur a £75 fee if i do not send them a copy of my licence plus a fee for every day i have had the insurance and it will be cancelled. Despite my emails to them i get another from them as if i'm dealing with two separate companies.
The amusing thing is that i had a policy which expired in July 2013 so they have a copy of my licence. It seems that each department does communicate with the other.

I just sent them copies of my licence and NCD straight away. Send 2 or 3 times so they definitely get them.

I have sent them another email but don't hold out much hope. I don't really want to phone them as it costs £1.02 per minute!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm insured with em and had problems contacting.

Passed direct access in Jan, changed details (and paid the "admin fee"), got an auto email asking me to post a copy of license immediately followed by an email thanking me for sending a copy of my license.

License was actually still with the DVLA...

Anyways I scanned it and sent a copy when I got it back, and asked them to let me know if they got it, and got a reply advising me how to send my license via email (ie to the address I sent it to), few more emails getting the same (word for word) response and I gave up, after all I did already have the "thankyou for sending" email...

Renewal soon anyway, I'll see what happens then...

I passed a coupe of weeks ago, there was no admin fee and they did not ask for copies of anything.
Happy days.

I don't get the problem. Scan or photo, email once a day until some mong clicks the "stop bugging you" button. Worse case, you have evidence that you've sent copies so any dispute will come out squarely in your favour, at their considerable cost.

Had no issue with them- yes they wanted copies of licence and NCD.
Scanned, emailed, acknowledgement received- job done without fuss-back in April.

So far seems ok, and with comms going via email you have evidence and records if ever required.

My main gripe was them suddenly reassessing my renewal and putting my premium up 500% for no readily apparent reason (I have never claimed on insurance EVER in the 14 years of riding before this happened.)

Different under-writers, they're just a broker like everyone else. I was happy with them for a multi-bike TPO policy on cheap bikes, but their quote on ze Beemer this year was just comical.

Bizarrely, they were super cheap for my BMW F800R. Zero experience (I took out the insurance before I'd even passed my test) - £221 fully comp with £350 excess.

Thanks to everyone who replied to my original post it was much appreciated.

I think a lot of the problem was that i don't have a photo licence just the old pink one. I think this threw them a bit at ebike but now sorted thanks.
