Me and the mrs are gonna be going on a few long trips in the near future and we could do with a 2 way intercom so we can communicate on long journeys.

So what sensibly priced intercoms are any good thatl fit snug inside a shoei without us looking like buzz light year?!

You are doing it wrong... the whole point of bikes is that you can't hear the missus.

The old wired intercoms this was easy as tap into rear light for power. So you had the lights as an on/off switch if/when required.

Bit harder on the bluetooth headsets.

Why do you need a mute button? Shocked

Just ignore as normal/required.

Scala are leaders and not costly but look at £100+ as shit sound is shit sound.
Although maplins et al sell budget stuff it is shite.

Pillion only needs headphones. All communication is restricted to answering yes or no by tapping on your left or right shoulder. Let them speak and you open yourself to way too many variables.

Me and the wife talk a lot when out on the bike. She asks if I'm ready for her to get on and off and I reply. What else is there? Wink

Well I would say that my Shoei xr1100 is a normal lid & my husband has a Shoei Quest and a Caberg (not sure of model. It also fits in my AGV lid & has been on a Shark & Scorpion lids. It is the Scala Rider G4 we are using.

One word of warning though, i found that the scala caused unbearable pressure on my ears when used with my Shoei helmet as the helmet is such a good fit. It didnt feel too bad at first but after a couple of hours i was ready to rip it out.

however i bought a caberg lid for commuting and its briliiant in that helmet. just something to consider...........
