Looking to book the indy (or GP depending on price...) as a private thing so only people authorised can use the track.

Obviously the only bikers I know are on here, so does this appeal to anyone. No real cost other than fuel and donations should you wish.

Waiting on a call back for the price, sure I've requested details before and its come through at a relatively decent price... just forgotten what it was Laughing

Given that its Brands, full licence holders... they don't allow 33/46hp riders and I'd need about 12-16 people I reckon.

Is anyone up for this? Should add, ideally this would be new track people rather than the seasoned ones unless groups can be split properly and evenly to allow us slow folk a fair run against each other... Laughing

Bikes would require to be in safe and decent condition, with anything glass taped up.

No belly pan required

2 piece zip together leather or 1 piece leathers

Very interested depending on the cost, though do I need a belly pan?

Can probably accommodate a few overnight people, 2 or 3 at max if coming from long distance.

No belly pan needed, just a working bike really that will pass an MOT nicely.

Cost, well, I'll be paying for the track, donations and shit are welcome but not required as long as people have a good time.

Happy to pay my share, date dependant I am almost certainly up for this, assuming you are correct about the belly pan thing!

As for people from a distance, I am about 30/40 miles from brands I reckon (not googled) I can probably put up one or two people assuming the better half is alright with it!

Edit: google says 20 miles.

Hmmm, depending on the price and dates I may be up for this. I want to do a track day but I am still a bit cautious around right handers.....

Tempted, dependent on price and date.
I presume 2 piece leathers are acceptable?

I'd be up for this, but realistically I don't think it's affordable.

I remember Silver making enquires about this beforeand was quoted some outrageous figures

https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=83976

It may be better approaching one of the track day companies & seeing if they'll do a special rate for a group booking (although it may complicate things when you get riders of different ability levels etc in a group)

I would be up for this.

No belly pan required (only for ACU)

2 piece zip together leather or 1 piece leathers
(Don't know if you want to add that to first post paddy)

You may be able to camp at Brands for a fiver - I know other MSV circuits do that, but not sure if Brands would for a small trackday.

Sounds expensive, though - I had looked at whole track hire a good while ago and it ended up fairly costly, especially for somewhere like Brands.

I'm alright with one of the guys there, the organiser Laughing

Last time I enquired, it wasn't too bad as long as it was a group of 8+. I can probably arrange for it to be less "exclusive" or do a group booking for a specific track date that no one knows about yet Wink

Ah, nice going Smile.

Well, if I happen to be down that way in the lorry, can offer a little cramped accommodation for a few people Smile.

Possibly interested, but doubt logistics would work out for me having track bikes down there at the time.

On that, if I could make it workout, may be able to work out a deal on the use of a track bike if anyone wanted.

Would be quite a trek to drive down, do a track day, then drive back. Plus Id have to get some leathers from somewhere, cheap ebay jobby should do it. I shall peruse the thread regularly as I umm and arr about it. Never done a track day, wouldn't mind trying it out on my bike to work on my cornering without risk of rolling under a lorry.

Oh no no no no no.

We have people like Gerry who have never been on track before.

I'll be inters, Gerry and the other track n00bs (Ghost Rider) will be in novice. Original Nuttah Paddy and yourself Garth will be in fast (with Davo), and G will be an instructor.

Simples.
