Righty...

So, 15 people, we could get all the spaces booked and a garage for £1750-£1800. Thats not too bad in my eyes.

I have asked about exclusivity, not too bad, looking around £11k so if I could have access to my savings, I'd smash that, purely because thats epic Laughing

But I then thought, 20 people accommodated by them, works out £2250-£2300. This would take up the majority of the groups IIRC... so essentially a BCFers track day if we have plenty of novice people attending Wink Wink

I'd probably be more than happy to pop £1k+ in to cover the initial me + a handful of others.

If it's a generic BCF trackday then I'll come along, £120 is fine.

Date?

Am I right in thinking you've never been on track paddy? Even suggesting you'd pay a grand is utter madness. You could do a whole year of sm pit bike racing for that.

I could do. I'd rather spend the day with some class A faggots though Laughing

I've been on a track, once, on a GS500. Laughing

Laughing Money isn't the issue, its the getting hold of said cash. Typically the £1k isn't an issue, Maidstone has loads of pensioners to grab bags from.

I'm also interested.

Though Brands looks like a fast track with higher speed corners, taking it a bit slower shouldn't be that scary. It would be my first track day too.

£11k was the sorta thing I was expecting.
How is it working in this case?

Only one highish speed corner on the Indy circuit.

More on the GP circuit - or probably should be, I was never that great at the GP, though think I managed a 6th last time I was there, but more due to better riders trying not to crash so they could sell their bikes as it was the last race and positions decided:).

It has 1 or 2 faster corners. the 180 at the top of the hill and the 90 degree after aren't excessively fast at all. The one prior to the main straight and one right at the end can be done at ok speeds, but I'm going back from what I remember of the GS500. Basically you'll join the noobs Mr. Green I am there also Wink

Padock hill is the 'interesting' corner - it drops away with a blind Apex, so you have to commit to your line and turn in while still braking quite hard*, without actually being able to see where the track goes - from the view you have, there might as well be a cliff there Smile.

* Don't try this if this is your first trackday - pushing the limits too much early tends to lead to crashing early too.

I don't really remember anything apart from aiming for the barrier at Paddock.

Presumably early spring as this kind of thing will take a while to organise and the weather will change in the next month or two.

Well, I was thinking ~May/June as they offer relatively decent-ish weather and keeps off the peak track times so prices remain low.

Basically, I've got a note of people who are interested. If you are willing to pay for your session, typically its £100-£130 depending on stuff. I'm happy to lump 1k on my card, that covers me, and a handful of people who want to try but really cannot afford it.
