Just heard about this guy doing a 900 mile challenge ride for charity, riding with only fuel stops for around 20 hours.

I think he deserves a mention on here (Unless he already has been - apologies if so) Donations can be made to his fundraising page:

https://www.justgiving.com/paulslongwaydown

And the route details are at:

Sounds like fun, wouldn't sponsor someone to do something fun...tell him I'll give him £5 for each fingernail he rips off himself with pliers.

I'm planning to do the same next year. Wouldn't ask for money, however. It's fun and an achievement.

Sounds like a plan! Had this lined up for September before a good bash over in euroland.

Should be a good blast on the zed.

Fair play to the guy if it makes some cash for a good cause ( as long as all donations go directly to charity).

Had an article in mcn or ride about going on missions, it's always good to do the unexpected!

Every penny is going into his tank, plus 20% "gift aid" robbed straight out of my pocket. 4 moar rides.

For a bike that gets such a slagging off by most people on here , that`s quiet impressive.
Even if it`s not a CG I`m still impressed Thumbs Up

Will my Hyosung 250 cope? Smile

I am toying with the idea for next year?, possibly? maybe?.
You know how it is ? "The best laid plans of mice and men" and all that.
I toyed with doing it this year but got tangled up in going to the three highest roads on the mainland instead.

C`mon Peppers stop titting about and commit yourself to it Eh?

I'm doing a run from Cov to Inverness on a Suzuki x7 that has been off the road the past 2 years. Along with a Triumph 6t, a CB250 G5, an R100 BMW and a 500 Bullit.

All have been sitting unused for years, fixed them, test run will be 1000 mile round trip.

Not asking for money cos, well, its a laugh with your mates....
