They seem like a huge waste of money for use on the road.

Yeah I thought they'd be a bit cheaper than they are Neutral

Ones for my HJC visor work out at like a quid each

I got some in the box with my latest AVG lid, haven't used them yet though, seem to be a bit of a waste on the road as has already been said.

Out of interest, how much are they to buy?

I just use poundland baby wipes, which I keep a pack of in the bike anyway for the inevitable oilyness that comes with riding a bike.

Used them on a euro roadtrip and they saved alot of time by not needing to keep cleaning my lid.
They look cool IMO but can be overkill if your not riding hard.

An AGV lid I bought came with some.

I used one pack for shits n giggs. They did the trick but were a total waste of time (fitting them) and money if you were to actually use them. Might make sense on a track, maybe.

You also can't use pinlock if you use tear-offs

Even for club racing tear-offs are useless, as you're never on track long enough to get it that dirty.
