It was too dark both times I went past to take any pictures of my own but the thing is immense and incredible. The Trent-Severn waterway it services took so long to build it was all but pointless for industrial purposes the day it was completed (the Welland Canal around Niagara, which I posted pictures of before, as well as the rail network) so now it's maintained for recreational boating. It's a real marvel of engineering, that thing.
