As some/most of you will know I bought a Bros400 recently and steadily have the increasing feeling I have been royaly fuck3d over.

What documentation should I have got with it?
Do I automatically get a warranty?
Is the back break of the Bros naturally shit? If I slam it on full at 70mph the bike barely changes speed at all.

You should have got a V5 registration document and a valid MOT. A receipt is generally expected, and a valid tax disc is nice.

The back brake probably needs bleeding - for this you need a bottle of brake fluid, some 5mm plastic tubing, and an 8mm spanner. The method is covered in the FAQs section.

As robby said, a V5 (illegal to sell a bike without it, if they have one), an MOT and a receipt.

The warrenty is implied through the receipt.

No - the back brake on the BROS is stupidly sharp, is on mine and Gooses anyway.

I can't use it because whenever I put it on I end up locking up the wheel.

DukeRed,

Documentation that implies that you have good title to the goods (ie. own them) will come in the form of the registration document however some dealers send them directly to DVLA Swansea on your behalf and you receive it via the post - it's always advisable to get proof of purchase if this situation arises.

Warranty's are given in addition to your Statutory Rights and consequently do not have to be offered and are not a legal requirement.

As for the brake, if you're not happy with it take it back and get the dealer to have a look or alternatively take the bike to another bike dealer/mechanic/AA (if you're a member) for a Second opinion.
