I'm pretty sure i posted this somewhere yesterday, but i cant find the post, anyway, my friend is looking to get into biking ever since i puled up at his on my Nsr Very Happy. But the problem being he's on a budget. He would have £500 to 700 to spend mayb a little more. I've had a look around and cant find much about. He likes the look of the Cagiva Planet 125, and the Vulcan custom. He'd not really that bothered about having a massively fast bike, just a bit of fun that isnt a ped, or looking out-dated.
Thanks for reading.
Tom.

£500 - £700 is more like cg125 money really. Doubt he'd find a Planet for that unless it was in a bit of a state.

Is he going to be able to afford to insure this thing when he gets it?

Bearing in mind that at bare minimum he will need a bike/insurance/helmet/CBT.
How is that factored into his budget?
And hopefully some good protective gear.
500-700 is a bit of a stretch if you are new to biking and don't have the gear already. IMO.

£500 - £700 should get him an NS125R/F or even an AR125 if he looks around.

Insurance on the other hand could be as much as a grand on one of these.

Yea he'll be able to insure and run etc. It doesn't have to be a planet, realistically he needs to double his money for one of those, but thats just the styling he likes if you know what i mean,
Thanks

For that money, he's really not going to get anything 'pretty'. He can get something decent, but it's not going to be a looker.
