Had a HTC One S on Orange for 10 months now and it's not registering my SIM. Done the usual, switched phone on and off, tried plane mode switching between, had the SIM out, wiped and back in. Phone has never been dropped as if it isn't in my pocket it never leaves my side.
It's not insured, silly I know but what rights do I have. Paying £35 a month and a faulty phone is just not good enough. Especially after 10 months.

I'm not clued up on all this stuff, so don't just blindly believe what I read.

However, I'm under the impression that the phone should have 12 months manufacturer's warranty on it.

Also I'm under the impression that a mobile phone supplied for use within a contract must last the length of the contract, otherwise it can be deemed as being not fit for purpose.

Hopefully somebody will actually know for a fact, but I'd be moaning at Orange instantly.

So if it has to go back to HTC I have to be ohoneless for the duration it takes for HTC to repair it.

If it is still in contract just take it back to the shop for repair, they should give you a phone (usually a crap pone) while it is away. If it is still knackered when you get it back, then take it back, do this a few times and hey presto! you will get a new phone, possible upgrade for the remainder of the contract.

Call the service provider. (using alternative means of course. Rolling Eyes )
Tell them you need a repair.
They will advise.

If the problem persists.... You want a new phone.

If they will not give you a loner then cancel the contract.

You will probably have to argue with some fucking jumped up fuckwit/manager in the shop. Wait until the shop is busy and talk loud.

Fuckers.
