Went for a ride today, about 6 miles in bike lost all power! Managed to get it to a lay by thing before I lost all the speed. Rang my break down, not much use really, sent recovery out for me, he was.
Had a pretty good idea what it is, he thinks one of my jets has vibrated out as the spark plug is getting soaked instantly. So that's my job for tomorrow morning.

Anyway, I'd just like to say thanks to the few people that stopped to see if I was ok if you see this. I was the old CG at the side of the A34.

Quite a good fast road (from what I saw of it!)

Happened to me with my CG-copy engine.

[Dramatisation]

It ran fine up to about 1/8th throttle but flooded and died as soon as the throttle was opened wider. I had the carb apart with a multitool and sorted it at the roadside, so two fingers up to the 'professional' who was giving it bigguns with his opinion but couldn't be arsed actually following through and seeing if he was right.

He was wrong anyway, took my carb apart, both jets still in, one was just blocked up though

Good work. Got a fuel filter fitted? Worth a few £££ to save hassle in future.

It has one, but I didn't think to check it while working on the bike. Bit dim really, will check it tomorrow and clean it, will replace it if it needs it.

Cheers for the advice Smile
