Just got a text that apparently there's some kind of bomb scare on the Dartford Crossing.

Looking at the cameras, they have closed the M25 off both ways, looks like at Swanley and Thurrock. Gonna be mayhem!

https://www.motorwaycameras.co.uk/viewcamera/?motorway=&motorwayid=&cameraid=442

EDIT: yup closed off at the A2 slip:

Word I got was it's a coach with some kind of suspect device.

I wonder if it's allowed to go below 50mph?

That would explain why my dad has called a couple of times sounding hacked off. He is stuck on the bridge and has been for about an hour

FFS, some guy with obvious MH issues who is about as dangerous as Jimmy Krankie with a water pistol behaves a bit oddly...

...cue some fuckstick spotting an opportunity for a load of overtime and to hell with people trying to get through Friday rush hour traffic, let's declare an emergency!

Whoever sanctioned the closure should have their testicles nailed to a large piece of wood.

surprised its on the news, up here in the midlands since they supposedly caught the mosque bombers there's still activity, but the media and police keep it quiet to discourage others / copycats.

Two! FFS. I'd deduct every penny from the chief constable's pension...then let's see how eager they are to waste resources...

Word is that some dude driving an empty coach went through the tolls, pulled up under a bridge support, got out and pegged it away from the coach brandishing a gun, claiming that the coach had a bomb on it.

No terrorist would do such a thing. They'd pretend they'd broken down or the like. The outcome being maximum damage. Running about shouting that you've got a bomb is attention seeking nonsense that the unhinged would favour.

You've never watched Speed? The terrorist won't be on the bus - he'll just be watching by remote camera, or from somewhere close by...

The real kicker would be if the bus is a fake bomb and the real one is in the tailback somewhere...

Ah, the sound of being told to put your vaping hardware away whilst they pump propylene glycol through the air conditioning system.

Nothing smells better than irony.
