Hi All,

I'm in need of help!

I have bought an AJS dd125e-8 a few weeks ago, the guy before changed the battery and ignition barrel (as its faulty)

Since then the battery light has been on, I have charged and checked the battery and its fine given its brand new, for some reason its not charging. I went out on it and after 10 minuted the bike died and the battery was flat.

I have changed the ignition barrel back to the original one as I thought this could perhaps be the issue, no change unfortunately. The bike has only done 4k miles and is on an 18 plate.

Along with the battery light being on the fuel gauge is intermittent. The bike has a digital display.

Has anyone had this issue and can offer some advice on how I can find this please?

Many Thanks
Rick

not charging is most likely faulty rectifier/ regulator (recreg) or wiring to battery from same. Easy enough to check with a multi-meter - youtube is your friend

This diagnostic flow chart is the best I have seen, and could be helpful to you if you have basic skills.
