Yamaha SR 125 not starting

i had a mechanic look at my bike after putting it in a shop and them telling me it was fixed, it ran the day i got it out the shop but after that it wont start and if it does start it will run for 10-20 seconds.

i thought it was the battery so i got a new one and it was still the same so i bought a new spark plug and it worked for 1 day and then the next day it was exactly the same, would not start.

the mechanic that looked at my bike says it is a electrical problem cause he put easy start in he card without the fuel tank connected and it didnt start.

he told me to buy a new ignition coil and fit it, i know it is only £30 for it but i dont know whether it is worth my time to buy the part and it still not work, recently i have been thinking of just selling the bike and saving for a new one cause i have borrowed alot of money to get it working and it is just sitting there still not working, to be honest i dont think it is worth the insurance anymore.

is there any mechanics here that could give me some advice on what it could be? really want it running as i miss riding but i just dont think it is worth it anymore. Please Help!
