Hey guys having an issue with the FI light on a 2005 zx10r first gen model.

The other day I red lined the bike in second gear and the FI light illuminated. Now when I tun the ignition on the bike there are no warnings etc, I start to ride down the road and the FI light comes on straight away, it then stays lit.

I get home, turn the ignition off, get the seat off etc to try and read the fault codes, ignition back on the light is no longer illuminated.

Earthing the diagnostic wire to the frame doesn't bring up any codes.....Unless im doing it wrong?

I should add the bike starts and rides absolutely fine and doesn't appear to be running poorly as a result.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers
Mike

probably a sticking servo valve. if it jams, the light comes on.

Cheers for the reply!

Are we talking exhausts servo valve?

It has a full akra system and PC3 fitted, not sure what the deal is with the servo valve there???

I suppose it would have had a block off plate or something fitted?

ah not servo valve... valve servo. Full akra won't have a valve.
look under your seat and see what's what. Mine on my 05 636 had the plate fitted, but the motor was fucked, so I took it off and made a bypass using some resistors.

Bit of an update as I forgot I posted this on here, but its always good to close off workshop threads incase anyone else finds themselve in the same dilemma.

Replaced the servo with a circuit as above and all is dandy

Cheers Thumbs Up
