I just give it a wipe with a babywipe to get the insects off it.

I've yet to wash the inserts.

Never wash the inside, use a balaclava style thing all year round though [thicker one in winter] last few years to reduce sweat/hair grease.

Externally whenever the visor gets mucky enough to be a nuisance when riding, but i often ride with it up anyway so... Once a month probably.

Same for my leathers - never wash them. The sweat odour helps alert cagers to my road position, ''sweaty suits save lives'' Thumbs Up

Helmet? I give it a clean when it looks abit grubby
The Visor on the other hand, pretty much every time I take the bike out I'm cleaning the visor before riding.

Visor -- just about daily
Inside padding/inserts -- when they smell, I take them out and put them through the washing machine, then air dry. I've only done it a few times in the two years I've had this lid, but I'm washing them this weekend. The hot summer has taken its toll.

I'll clean the flies off it every time. If there are no flies, there's nothing to clean!

Never.

If it's raining it gets a wash.

The missus always asks, can you even see out of that, because it's a touch mucky. I can see fine, so whenever it hinders me, I'll clean it.

But the missus has a white helmet for pillion so whenever she cleans hers I'll just pop my helmet next to her and when I return it's magically clean!
