Yep I sold my yamaha yzf r125 late july, and the V5 was posted on the very same day.
Say 4 weeks later I get a letter saying you are no longer the owner of the vehicle which was sold.

Now for some strange reason I'm receiving letters for the vehicle I don't even own any more.

1] Reminder to get tax disc or make a statutory off road notification [SORN]

2] Order for recovery of unpaid penalty charge parking fine at the tune of £202

Hopefully you've kept the DVLA letter saying you're no longer the RO.

I'd get on to the Doovla ASAP. Make sure the address has been changed correctly.

Read what it says on the back of the non-ownership confirmation notice.

It's not a strange reason, it's because the DVLA are incompetent mongs.

I'm going to go ahead and assume that you've lost / burned / eaten the acknowledgement letter. If not, laminate it, await a summons, ask for your costs.

Because Capita does all their office/admin work.

And Capita will employ any retard, mainly foreign.

Although, regarding the whole "foreign first" employment strategy, a lot of people call it cheap labour. I don't get how its cheap. Because they get the same wage. Its because they (generally speaking) have much better attendance records. But still, Capita employees in these outsourced call centres are retards.

I used to work for Capita, couldn't agree more.

Ha ha ha! Capita eh? I have experience with them. Private, cheap company, happy to get a few million to do parts of any company/public/civil service. And suck at it. But, trust me, Tata are the next big thing to come up and will surpass Capita at sucking. Tata are linked with several public/civil service sectors this year, thanks to some MPs doing a bit of wangling with India.

Wait until they take you to court for it all and then show the judge the letter confirming change of ownership, claim expenses and shit too if you like.

Busy looking for the acknowledgement, definitely put it somewhere safe...?

Oh, lordy, picture a Scottish company wanting to tender for Scottish government work, and having to fly out to India in order to put in the bid via the "preferred" Tata because they don't even have any presence in Scotland yet. I detect the hand of DfID in that, stabbing UK Plc in the kidneys yet again.

The thought that we may one day look back on the Capital regime as the good old days is both hilarious and chilling.

They prefer the hands-on touch you only get with hired goons.

yep, they also do quite a lot of local council tax admin, the Gassafe register, EMAs and most of Avivas admin, they used to do the London congestion charge and they have their sticky little fingers in pretty much everything.
