Please be informed that the veracity of "Someone's made you an offer!" is for me to decide, not you.
First, for your edification, "o.b7343d.o2edjl@mail.gumtree.com" is not "someone", and it's not even an eBay ID, it's just a stream of deliberately anonymous gibberish. You don't even know who this "someone" is, let alone me.
Further, a random number spunked out by some boozed-up post-Sunday-luncher is just that. A number. It's not an offer.
Most particularly, I'd note that were I idiotic enough to say "oh, yes, splendid, that will do nicely, when would Sir Anonymous like to collect his vehicle?" then said "offer"would evaporate into the æther faster than a politician's promise. Further, I would then be visited by a completely unrelated individual who would be inexplicably fore-armed with uncanny knowledge of the absolute most that they would have to really offer in order to secure the vehicle.
Also, there's some nobber selling Akita puppies in the bike section. Again. Sort it out.
Ranting here as a safety valve so that I don't become a "NO MORE TIME WAISTERS!!!!!!!!!!" seller. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

I had a job offer from a similar email address on gumtree saying "This company liked your CV and want you to apply bla bla" so I did, and it turned out to be a money laundering op. ____________________ I'm autistic. That means I'm smarter than you. |

My dad put my grandads house on Gumtree, someone messaged him, asked him if he'd take £50k less than asking price and asked if he could pay in installments.

Thank you to the one nice, decent chap who turned up to view the accurately described vehicle, gave it a good look over, took it for a short test ride fully insured and such, I'm sure, made a reasonable offer, and had the scooter delivered to his door with an oil change thrown in gratis.
Enjoy your new bike, sir, unlike the dozen other mongs and divs who just messaged the same anonymous derisory non-offers in the belief that this would somehow magically result in them obtaining a bargain vehicle.
Your attention has been appreciated.
Next, sellers... ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
