After getting soaked through on my relatively short ride home in my supposedly waterproof textiles (RST Slice if you're thinking of buying...), I didn't relish the thought of riding from Cardiff to Peterborough in the pissing rain. Then camping in it. Then riding back in the pissing rain.

Am I missing out majorly by not going to this? Or have I done well by wasting only £35?

Not missing out. Will be the same next year, the year after that AND the year after that.

Will also be the same the year after the year after the year after that.

I need new winter gloves and live 15 minutes away. Is it worth me going to pick some up or do I just go to my local shop and get some?

It's just a tacky market with a high entrance fee now.

Personally, I'd save the £15 entrance fee & put it towards a pair at the local shop. I never see any bargains there. It's either cheap tacky shite or (almost) full price quality gear. Sad

I prefer it to the NEC show though as I save a lot more money by not going to the BMF than I save by not going to the NEC as the NEC is on my doorstep.

Well that's reassuring. I'd looked through and found a couple of old threads saying similar but didn't know whether new members had been or if anything excellent was happening this year.

At least I've saved myself wodge of cash by not being given the opportunity to buy stuff I don't need and can't afford! Also, DESPITE not being superstitious, I didn't fancy riding that far in the rain on Friday the 13th... Shocked

I've got a blazing hangover and it's raining too, so I'll give it a miss!

Thumbs Up
