Hi, i am looking to buy the bike but the main problem is that the electric start sometimes work but normally it doesnt. She said that the bike works when she kicks start it. I asked her for more information and she said that when she tries to eletric start it, the bike clicks.
I am new to all this so i would like some help if possible.

Thanks

:D so its got a new battery and it kicks starts immediately bursting into life with no crunching grinding noises coming from the fully working k/start system................it runs so the battery is fully charged?? do the lights glow brighter from tick over to say 4k revs........they grow brighter? yes cool................

so it just makes a clicking noise under the saddle or by the battery under the saddle somewhere.........locate the noise, the click, to the 2 battery leads, 2 solenoid leads battery sized, starter motor lead from solenoid ( already checked ), to starter motor end, and its earth ( a thick wire from eng somewhere to place on frame.........)..........any loose, or get warm ( then hot!! so stop ) when clicked.......or is there water in the solenoid or similar.........if you bridge the solenoid heavy wires from bat to elec start motor, the starter motor whizzes up and jams solid?, tinkles or not much else|?? apart from start the engine perfectly, it kicks very well and runs.......don't it?

and guess what, she's selling the bike so she buys the cheapest piece of chinese tat available, totally fails to charge it before fitting it or her idiot boyfriend / father has charged it using a car charger for half a day at 5Ah, and then wonders why it doesn't work

The v-clic (and ludix range) IS a Chinese piece of tat Laughing Laughing , they suffer all the wiring gremlins as the Chinese stuff too.

Problem could be the fuse, switch, solenoid, starter itself or any of the wiring in between, make note of what you unplug as the Chinese versions of these bike it least have random redundant plugs on the loom that can be confused as they are the same connections.

These also suffer the leaky inlet manifolds too, if you have idle issues take the manifold off and sand in flat with some fairly fine sandpaper on a flat surface then seal it with sealant.
