Somehow managed to snap my right footrest off earlier. Riding back home later with my foot on the tiny nub that remains should be fun. Will cannibalise a footrest off the Bros later so London by bike won't be called off.

Have daubed the lining of my leathers with an assortment of occult symbols and carved mystical runes into the fuel tank to ward off further evil.

For the first time in 2 years, today my alarm decided to go off whilst I was approaching a junction and immobilise the engine whilst it was at it. Something must have pushed the button on my key fob in my pocket...

I was at the traffic lights and adjusted my helmet visor. The anti fog screen then fell out onto the road. I had to grab it whilst balancing on the R1 up then jam it into the dashboard and ride off as the lights changed in the space of 2 seconds. Annoying.

Got home in one piece and spent 15 minutes struggling in the dark and rain with my mobile phone's torchlight app as the only illumination. Footrest is sorted

If it's any help to anyone, the 1988 Honda Bros and 1998 Honda CB500 use exactly the same footrests. The hole to slot the rebound spring is even in the same position and all components are interchangeable. I guess Honda aren't going to blow their R&D budget on footrests, and there's no point fixing it if it ain't broke, but it's still interesting to see such continuity over 20 years.
