Check to see whats in the Currys refurbished range at the moment.

I picked up an Acer Aspire V3-571 last month for £370.

I5 2.5 - 3.2GHz Processor.

8GB DDR3 RAM.

1TB HDD.

I thought it was good value, still get the normal warranty too.

I got my l702x Dell from the Dell outlet a couple of years ago for the upper bound there.
i7, 8gb ram, 3gb graphics - cheap because it was a 'scratch and dent' (it took me ages to find the dent, having to use my finger to feel for imperfections - I've now put a good man more in it and it's still going ok.)

They do a 15" version, but if it's similar to the big'un, it won't be light.
