Hello Very Happy

I've finally come to terms with the fact I need a new lid, after the padding has started to fall out of the lining on my AGV Sad

I'm not looking for anything particuarly flash, but something comfy would be nice. One of the main reasons I've kept hold of this one is because of how comfy it is in comparison to other helmets.

Cheers Smile

I think the defining factor is how much you want to spend?

Once you spend a bit and they get all light and plush it's really just a question of head shape and your own personal tastes.

That said, my girlfriend just bought a 60€ helmet for occasional pillion use and the (non removeable) interior is surprisingly nice.

Price range? Preferred kind - i.e. full face or flip up? Any particular colour you want (or don't!)?

The only helmet I can recommend is one that fits you properly. The best thing to do is get a rough budget in mind, then head for a shop and try loads on to see what fits properly.

You never really know what you like until you go try a few on. There could be one you've had your eye on for months online.. perfect colour, design, price etc but as soon as you try it on its awful..Even in 'your size'.
Failing that, why not look at newer models of the AGV you had?

Because they're £400 and I don't wanna spend that much Laughing

Price range is probably up to £150, but could go to £200... I would go and try some on but my local bike shops both have pretty limited stock. The huge one in the town centre just closed down Sad

I was looking at the Reevu helments a while back, and I don't mind paying the extra £100 if they're decent, but not sure if anyone on here has experience with one?

I wouldnt be too concerned about brand and gimics. Just get whatever fits comfortably and properly and hope its quiet when at high speeds presuning you wont be able to return it as is most places policy.

Have at some kbc helmets around 80-200 average and by far my favourites to date in terms of useability Thumbs Up

I own a matt black LS2, not a bad helmet, really comfy and light.

One thing to bear in mind though it is a little loud at 100mph not too bad, but i think one ear plug, head phone would stop this (i was pillion for about 20 mins)

Scorpion do some good lids if they fit you. Exo 500 is £200, has sun visor, pinlock, good padding and is reasonably quiet. Worth a look?

Pretty sound advice already, forget the price, grab the one that fits you the best.

Once you've done that you could just check up on the sharp rating for a teeny bit of peace of mind..

Thumbs Up

Have a look at Nexx, come with pads to custom fit, good quality and in the price range you are looking at.
