[EDIT] sorted now. Trailer guy picked it up at no charge as I'd had such a bad day. Great guy. Absolutely recommend Andy at https://www.coventrytrailerhire.co.uk/. Very cheap too

After a hugely eventful day yesterday (full story to follow) I'm in a bit of a tricky situation. Essentially

I rented a trailer yesterday at 10
My car died spectacularly, very close to home with the trailer
A friend recovered the trailer to my house

Now I need to get the trailer back to the depot 5 miles away in the next hour or two

If your in or around cov this will take literally 40 mins and I'll give you £12.40

Anyone able to help out?

40 minutes in a car that can tow a 600kg trailer would cost more in fuel then £12.40

40 minutes at at average 30 mph = 20 miles covered (assuming the 40 minutes is all taken up with driving).

20 miles even at an appalling 20 mpg is 1 gallon of fuel = 4.5 litres.

Assuming diesel at £1.45/litre = £6.53.

You can put the rest towards the costs of getting there and back.

The depot is 5 miles away - 40 minutes covers hitching the trailer and manouvering
