Gloucester Royal Hospital - Bike Parking

As the title suggests, anyone know if there is any?

Need to go there tomorrow and thought about taking the bike, to avoid paying for parking. Can't find any info on the internet about this. Does anyone work there/go there regularly on a bike and know where the bike parking is located (assuming there is any).

I've seen the odd scooter parked amongst the bike racks but im not sure if there is any official designated bike parking, I ended up parking my bike on the road and got a bastard ticket!

There is bike parking about a 5 minute walk from the hospital at the taxi rank, you just walk through the bus terminal and take the subway underneath the train station then you're there.

mhh had a quick look on line and no joy.

BUT i do live pretty close to a major hospital and the charges take the piss.
for cars off street parking is so much cheaper... Wink

Not sure where bikes can be parked up your way, here it's either free in residents bays/pay at meter OR it's bike bay

if you were up for a short walk, might be the best way to do it IF no bike parking available at ozzy...
(hospital do seem a bit tough on the 'Lack of spaces' judging by the web Wink

even got the staff to pay for several years parking they were getting for free... Crying or Very sad

Bear in mind depending what time you go, that off street hours may not match the hospitals...off street here is 5pm finish then it's free
hopsital goes on until 8pm... Rolling Eyes

OK thanks- sounds like there is not much there then.
If the bike parking the other side of the station really is the closest one I may as well walk there from where I am starting from!
Think I will either walk or take the car and check out bike parking provision for next time.

Most hospitals will allow bikes to park for free as long as they aren't in a car bay. Each hospital I have worked at (5 now) allow bike to park on the pavement as long as they don't obstruct it for pedestrians or wheelchairs.

If in doubt look for the civil parking attendants employed by the hospital and ask them, they are normally quite nice to bikers Thumbs Up
