hey guys, was wondering around berlin today, and spotted a sign for a ddr bike museum,

and having owned a couple of mz's in my time i thought id pop in and see what they had

one of my most favourite mz's the bk350, basically a 2 stroke boxer twin with a tiny exposed shaft drive

a pitty .... Very Happy never heard of them before today, essentially a mz 125cc 5hp engine shipped to belin where it was shoved into 140kg frame.. was never going to be a success, but looks ace Very Happy

It is Čezeta / Cezeta if your font does not have the Č, or just CZ.

People here call it the pig, because it looks and sounds like one. Nothing hateful, it's the nice kind of pig. Smile

The guy I bought my Corvette from had a whole bunch of those fully enclosed Eastern Bloc scooters; he was making £5-6K of them and selling as many as he could get.

Was about to correct you on that, but just remembered the Skorpion/Baghira/Mastiff all use the Yamaha XT 660 engine Silence

Looks like a pretty good day out Thumbs Up

well they had a 125 as well, the 125sx which they did in various guises (supermoto moto-x etc) which i believe was of there own design and manufacture, (water cooled dohc)

but the baghira/skorpion used yamahas motor
and the 500cc saxon tour/country/red star and silver star all used rotax's ohc cam belt motor as seen in the army armstrong's and ccm's and thousands of flat trackers

but yeah the 1000 was there first big 4 stroke,
