First of all, use relevant sections of this forum.
Next, try to swap +/-. LEDs are NOT bulbs, you can NOT swap +/- as you like it, because LED lets the current only one way, you have to have + and - right. Take one LED flasher off and plug it right to the battery, so you see what I'm talking about. If the relay worked with bulbs it then shall work with LEDs too, it'd be a bit faster, but working.
EDIT: Sorry, I've just got what you are saying, the problem is most likely in the relay or you're getting a short circuit somewhere.
