Quickie.

If you took out a bonus accellerator policy (ie. ten months), do they let you extend it to a year so you can get a 'real' year of no claims?

I did for my car cos it was cheaper at the time, but now I wish I hadn't cos an accellerated NCB isn't valid with other companies as far as I know.

The accellerator should be valid for any company, it's just classed as 1yr NCB. I have a year I got in 9 months and it's never been mentioned.

Just done this for my car insurance, at no point in any of the paperwork does it say "by the way, you might not be accepted by another company"
