Massive long shot here but if anyone knows the current owner of the above I would like to get in touch.

Did have purple/white/red paintwork, but that was 10 years ago!

Any info please PM me.

Hi

Good luck finding it. Have you done a search to see when it was last registered?

Was it one of the single headlight project 108 style AF1 50s, or the newer Sintesi style one?

All the best

Keith

Twin headlight 108 Project.

I have searched as much as I can using the online resources. Joing here is the last resort!

Despite have had bikes since then from 125cc to 1100cc you always have a thing for your first!

Hi

Sintesi shape one then although thinking about it they might have put project 108 on the fairing (the older Project 108 shape one I was thinking of was the one like the early 125 with a single headlight, although the 50 had a conventional swinging arm).

I would like my first bike back again as well. And my 3rd bike (MBX125 which I had sold it to a friend who crashed it, and then I bought it back and fixed, before some scrote nicked it).

Keep looking, you might get lucky. My old AF1 Futura I sold in 1993 (traded in for an RS) turned up on Ebay in 2008.

All the best

Keith

I would check if it is insured, taxed etc (i.e. likely to still be around).

If it is then pay the DVLA their £3 or whatever and get the owners details.

You could try, at the cost of £2.50, sending of a V888 form to get the current name and address of the owner. But there is a high chance that they would refuse to give you this information.

V888 Form: https://www.direct.gov.uk/prod_consum_dg/groups/dg_digitalassets/@dg/@en/@motor/documents/digitalasset/dg_065303.pdf

Why they may refuse it: Acceptable reasons for an individual asking for the address is mainly intended for such things as someone abandoning a vehicle, being in a crash with a vehicle (that didn't leave their details), been given authorization by the current owner, etc.

Full information here: https://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/OwningAVehicle/AdviceOnKeepingYourVehicle/DG_4022067

You could "try" and do something as said here:

Yup, send the DVLA 2.50, give a reasonable reason for wanting the information (eg the keeper has parked on your land and you need the address to serve notice of a fine etc) and robert is your father's brother.

But that is technically illegal I think, if you are lying (which you would be).

Not currently taxed or insured.

DVLA just told me last taxed in summer 2010 which is good news. Hopefully not been pulled to bits and sold for spares.

I had thought about using the V888 form and i would have if the bike was currently on the road but too risky seeings its not.

The search continues..
