It sounds like the carb's could do with balancing.
Are you using the choke when the bike is cold? Basically when the engine is cold whacking the throttle open wont do it much favours.
At normal operating temperature, the idle is at about 1200 rpm. Slight fluctuation is normal, however if the carburetor balance is out this would exadurate the pulsing and lumpy/bumpy idle.
Get the carb's balanced before wanting to mess around with fulling mixture.

When bike are cold, most will "pick up" badly. The bike has to be warmed up. Mine certainly needs to be warmed up. I find that my idle speed is lower when cold, as the engine warms up the idle raises to the normal position.
That should solve the cold hesitation problem.
The lumpy idle, id say is due to un-balanced carbs. Now it could be somthing else, but the carb balancing issue is most likely.
Mine also does this btw .
Mine will be sorted soon, although at the minute its not a major problem... |
