Have a look on https://www.trailbikemag.com/forum/index.php if you're interested in enduros etc. There's lots of folk on there who compete in various events and clubs.

Seeing those pics makes me want an enduro again.

That looks like so much fun! I can see why heavy bikes could struggle with some of the obstacles they need to go over. Think I'd prefer your bike to even some of the bigger cc KTM's.

I want to go and ride now after seeing them. If I had a WR250F, which I nearly did buy, I wouldn't hesitate to enter an enduro, in fact I rarely hesitate with my TTR250, and this wasn't even a racing bike 20 years ago.

Its quite cheap to enter a race £50 to £60 but i can be expensive getting to the point where you have all the bits you need like a trailer, tow bar ect....

£50-60 entry sounds expensive if that's just entry.
Think I only paid that for a 6 hour team even I did on my own.
A few years ago at least, it was more like £30-£45. Can normally get a licence on the day for £10.
A van/trailer is useful, but I never found myself really buying anything extra for enduros as I did for tarmac racing.

First I did I rode my couple of week old bike over and had someone bring a jerry can along. I did take the number plate etc off before the start and put back on before going home.

I find getting together all the bits expensive as well, like I just turn up in trackies with my skateboard pads, MX boots, helmet and leather jacket. Everyone else looks like 2nd rate power rangers Razz

I ride there, take the plate off, I have my dad there with a jerry can and assortment of tools.

I pay for a day license as I won't do enough in a year to warrant a full year.

G: Have a look at some wrist supports from 661, my mate uses them for BMX, says they work really well.

If you're 'into bikes' generally then the tow bar and trailer are always useful to have around anyway - be it picking up a friend from the side of the road or getting a bargain bike from further away and the like.

Getting a mate to follow you - stick some tools in too - should be fine.

Unfortunately I don't think wrists supports are the way forward.
I have been looking at the ones from 661 and EVS; but when I try just wearing a basic (not sport specific) wrist support around at home, it actually makes the problem massively worse!*
*Ie, I don't notice it in daily life unless doing something like masonry drilling, but wearing said support for half an hour to try it out gave me a similar feeling!
