I'm expecting a NIP (not sure if I got flashed or not).

I'm not the first one in the house to see the mail, so I'm getting daily reports on what's come through for me.

Would there be anything particular about the envelope? Return address? Police stamp? I'm guessing with it being an official document there'd be some kind of "important - not a circular" written on it or something?

Ta.

Return address is probably a give away, was on my last one, though that was a very very long time ago.

I thought it was "your mate" who had been out murdering kittens?

On the subject of felines, perhaps "your mate" could not be such a trembling pussy and deal with things if and only if they actually happen?

I can't remember to be honest. I don't really look at my speedo when I'm riding, I just go at what feels "ok". Only time I look at my speedo is when I see a camera or the police.

As others have said, no point worrying about it till it happens. No amount of intel is gonna change the outcome, is it?

I've been flashed twice (well, thought I did, anyways..) waited with it hanging in the back of my mind for nearly 3 weeks, and nothing came of it. Think positive!

Lancashire ones come in white envelopes, have 1st class postage paid GB HQ54127 on the top left hand corner of the front. On the back it says "if undelivered, return to: CPU, PO Box 1329, Preston, PR2 0SX". Through the window on the front you may be able to see "NOTE:If the name below is that of a Limited Company, th
for information is addressed to the Company Secretary".

2 weeks, in the case of a court summons though they have up to 6 month.

I thought I'd got away with mine and received it a week before the 6 month limit

Hi

Has to be sent to normally arrive within 14 days, and must be sent first class.

However it doesn't actually have to arrive at all, and the scamera partnerships claim of when they sent it will be accepted in court.

All the best

Keith

Ok, so in the case of a court summons 6 months thats a hell of a long time to be biting your finger nails every time you get the post praying your license isn't toast. In most cases is the dreaded letter sent sooner say 3 months because thats how long I been waiting for myne and the thought of waiting another 3 months is torture ?

Are the scammer vans always white and Ford Transit size ?, can they be another color like red ?

Hi

It is over 6 months to court. They have 6 months to lay the case before court, and once they do it can take the courts a few weeks to get around to telling you about it. The full 6 months isn't unusual. However they should have given you the NIP within 2 weeks to start with.

All the best

Keith

Ok so just to confirm for example if you don't receive a NIP letter within say 3 weeks and the speeding offense warranted court your in the clear right ?

99% that you are clear. They could have sent the details to arrive within 14 days but have it get lost.

All the best

Thats real bad luck did you receive a NIP before the court summons in this case ?

Six months thats a long time if you commit a speed offense then 5 months 3 weeks later you get a court summons(for speeding) and nothing else in between notifying you've been caught how are you even supposed to even remember doing it let alone who was riding at the time ?

Is there anyway to find out if there is a ongoing speeding investigation by the police leading up to court if you are a registered keeper of a given vehicle in question ?
