I'm needing one.. I'm even happy to borrow one because it's just to fix up part of my bike so I can sell it! Suspension has seized and I don't want to try taking apart without some guidance as to how to do it - and how to put it back together again!

I've browsed around on google and can't find it to download anywhere...

I know of an NSR125 manual online, but that isn't much help obviously Razz

Perhaps flutter your eyelashes at some fellow scottish BCF members and get them to give you a hand Wink Razz

Seriously though, it isn't hard, 3 bolts to remove the suspension setup and a bit of logic on how to support the bike while doing it Thumbs Up

I have the Haynes workshop manual for it.
I'll try scan the pages for the front forks if you want. Thumbs Up

I think it is the rear suspension that is borked, not the forks Smile

yup it's the rear suspension that's jammed up. If you could have a go at scanning the pages that I need that would be great - my email is isobel@eye-2i.net

It only has instructions to remove the rear shock, not how to dismantle the shock, either way, i'll scan the pages and mail them to you. Thumbs Up

Hi

Well, if you get stuck then I can post a copy of the Honda manual on CD.

All the best

thanks Keith no1 for the pages, and Keith no2 for the offer, but it was to no avail, the bolts are jammed tight and would not budge Sad It's going to have to be a mechanic and money I think...

Oh well, shame it didn't work.

I'm sure it wont cost too much labour just to dismantle it, rebuild the shock and bolt it back in Confused

Hi

What do you mean it is stuck? Have the bolts come undone (the nut off the end) but still will not move out but happily spins round, or are the bolts just not coming undone.

If the first then the bolt has probably seized into the suspension bush. Nightmare time. If you are lucky you might get it out with a hell of a lot of pressure / hammering and a load of penetrating fluid.

If the second then you probably just need a longer lever to turn the socket, or failing that use a Dremel to cut the nut off.

All the best

Keith

Mine were hard to get out, they are fairly tight, probably around 25-35 ft-bls? soak the nut and thread in a load of WD40 and leave it over night, then get someone on one end with a socket and you on the other and put some elbow grease into it! once the nut comes undone start smacking the bolt out with a hammer (leave the nut on so you don't fack the thread up) Wink

Oh and if it is like the nsr one bolt also goes through the centre stand, meaning the entire weight of the bike is on it. So you will have to get the bike in the air off the centre stand to get that one out.
