Hi all,

I'm having all types of trouble with my Piaggio X9 250, the latest being that the rear wheel bearing (or whatever passes for it on this scoot) seems to be on its very last legs.

Does anybody know of a good menders preferably in the south/central Manchester area? The only ones I can see on the google map are Mr. Pigs (not sure if they do repairs) and Apollo Motorcycles.

Help appreciated - the bike is how I get around so I need it fixing as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance

What do you reckon about the job of replacing the bearing? To be honest, with the way a scooter's transmission works, I'm not entirely sure how I'd get to it, but if it's possible for me to do then that might be better than trying to get down to garage and having the bearing collapse on the way.

may be worth going to www.maxi=muppets.co.uk

they are more scooter orinantated there is members from up there on there so may help a bit more

i know a lot of bike places wont touch scooters due to all the plastics that have to come off to get to anything

this may be why my mate went bust as he would only mend my scoot not any others

hope im allowed to add that link Embarassed
